The Company to represent the 50 Religious Institute and Ministerial Public Juridic Persons schools was established in 2019. The Company name is Catholic Religious Institute and Ministerial Public Juridic Persons Victorian Schools Ltd and uses the acronym CRMV.

Position’s Purpose

The Executive Officer will work closely with the CRMV Board, in order to:

  • Efficiently manage the administration of the Board and its Committees. In doing so the position supports the Company’s Members’ governance role and intents.
  • The position is the Company’s first point of contact for those wanting to interact with the R.I. and MPJP educational sector within Victoria. In collaboration with the Board, the position promotes the Company – enabling it to be a strong representative body for its Members and have close relationships with important stakeholders, including other Church bodies.



  • Fulfil responsibilities of Company Secretary
  • Ensure regulatory compliance eg ACNC, ATO
  • Relationships with Church Authorities: Bishops’ Council, CECV, AMPJP, CRA, NCEC
  • Represent the CRMV on Catholic sector committees


  • Researching issues relevant to Catholic education and mission leadership
  • Organising and participating in consultation processes on issues relevant to Catholic education
  •  Prepare Board Reports
  • Liaise with the Members of the Company


  • Collect levies from the schools
  • Pay accounts and maintain financial records, including BAS statements
  • Provide quarterly financial statements
  • Provide auditor with necessary information and records
  • Arrange ‘Directors and Officers’ insurance


  • Service meetings of the Board and its committees: agendas, minutes, action following
  • Coordinate catering and venue
  • Maintain data base of Members, Board Directors, Committee members and schools
  • Coordinate events such as symposiums
  • Attend to email requests from the Chair
  • Prepare communication and correspondence to Church authorities and schools
  • Archive relevant information
  • Maintain up to date communications – website, correspondence, Minutes register
