This include the advertising of six new roles for the diocese in the areas of evangelisation and communications.
Reflecting upon his first year, and mindful of all the challenges and opportunities presented, Bishop Randazzo reiterated that at the heart of the mission of the diocese “lies the person of Jesus Christ and his message of Good News”.
“His heart forms and inspires our prayers, thoughts and works, and becomes the solid foundation of all that we do,” Bishop Randazzo said.
The bishop made clear his desire to build a unified team of people passionate for mission, evangelisation and the communication of the Word, who can contribute their talents and use their gifts in fresh and innovative ways.
“I’m looking for people who want to bring their prayers and ingenuity to the mission of the diocese in a Catholic context that is courageous, dynamic and new. I’m looking for people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ and want to put that relationship into action”.
Bishop Randazzo said the diocese had a missionary mandate unified around his pastoral priorities. He has asked that these priorities – parish renewal and discipleship – be placed at the centre of mission for the diocese, beginning in Advent of this year.
