The Trading Circle is a well known "brand" in Catholic circles and is an initiative of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd of Australia and New Zealand. It aims to support women in micro-enterprises trade their way out of poverty.
Established in 1995, The Trading Circle provides a market in Australia and New Zealand for products; supports their development by providing small grants for equipment, materials and training; and raises consciousness of the situations in which the women and their families live. The company is committed to fair trade and solidarity and has retails outlets in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Toowoomba and Auckland.
