What makes Pope Francis a master communicator? On a recent visit to Australia, the Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, took time to record this relaxed interview with XT3 TV and share his insights on the "Francis Effect."
In this interview on YouTube, Cardinal Dolan opens up about what it can be like to be in the eye of a media storm and how deftly Pope Francis has risen to the challenge. Faced with a potentially hostile media, the temptation can be to run, says Cardinal Dolan - but Pope Francis "takes the dare" and is a master at getting his message across.
Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Dolan is the current Archbishop of New York and served as the President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2010–2013.
